• What is Pupil?

  Pupil is a visual Q&A service designed to help you answer questions you have when viewing the world around you, like: What year was that car made? What type of flower is that? Where can I buy this archaic 19th century padlock? If you can see it, you can Pupil it!

• What is the Pupil community?

  The Pupil community is an incredibly intelligent, fun, and interactive network of people wishing to share its knowledge and wisdom. Pupil users don't just use Pupil to ask questions, but give back to the community by answering questions. Be nice, be respectful, and have fun using Pupil.

• Who answers my question?

  Everyone has passions. Be it the Big Bang Theory or Big Bird (for those of us who haven’t grown up), odds are you know way too much about something. Users indicate which categories they are knowledgeable about and Pupil routes your question to these experts.

• What are Pupil points?

  Pupil points show how knowledgeable you are. Think you are the most well-versed baseball fan in the Pupil community? Prove it. Every time you answer a question, you’ll accumulate points in that category, and eventually you’ll graduate to the next grade. Move from Pupil to Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, and finally Professor. For the 99.9% of us that aren’t actual collegiate professors, this may be your best (and only) chance to become known as a “Professor”.

• What if I don’t get an answer?

  Pupil relies on the network of the community to find an answer for you. Rest assured that we are trying our hardest to find an expert to address your question. Sometimes you might just end up stumping us!

• Do I need a Pupil account to ask a question?

  Yep! Pupil is a community-based app and we want YOU to be a part of it. You not only reap the benefits of the services we offer, but you can use your expertise to give back to the community and help others. Dazzle us with your knowledge about Golden Retrievers -- someone will appreciate it.

• Can I sign up on the Web?

  Not quite yet, but we're working on it. Pupil is currently only available for use on iPhone and Android devices.

• How do I invite friends?

  Invite your friends to join Pupil via email in the mobile app by pressing the “Invite” button on the Community Page. Make the Pupil community, your community! Also, compete with them to accumulate more Pupil Points and post your brilliance to Facebook and Twitter.
